Good evening, this is Jason Olinger, Director of Instructional Technology at Coshocton City Schools, with an important announcement for all families. Coshocton City Schools has an opportunity to participate in the FCC's Emergency Connectivity Fund, a $7.17 billion program that will help schools and libraries provide the tools and services their communities need for remote learning during the COVID-19 emergency period. ECF will help provide relief to millions of students, school staff, and library patrons and will help close the Homework Gap for students who currently lack necessary internet access or the devices they need to connect to classrooms. For eligible schools and libraries, the ECF Program will cover reasonable costs of laptop and tablet computers, WI-FI hotspots, etc. Please help us by completing the survey below for EACH student in your home. Please complete this survey by FRIDAY, AUGUST 6, 2021. This survey can also be found on our website, coshoctoncityschools.com, Facebook, and our Coshocton City Schools app, located in the App Store or on Google Play. https://forms.gle/6nYSdnahyRiALbvw7

Congratulations on this last day of the school year, I want to thank you for all your hard work as you embraced remote learning wholeheartedly. I have been amazed by the flexibility and commitment that you have shown as you have navigated this new and different way of learning. Through this unusual experience together we have learned to be responsible, empathetic and safe. You’ve also proven you are resilient and I know that you will come through this difficult time having learned important lessons about yourself and our world. A BIG shout-out goes to your parents/guardians/learning coaches, and who made your homes your school while many were trying to work at home themselves but still taking the time and effort to help you. This positive experience could not have occurred without the endless creativity, skills and devotion of the Coshocton Online Academy teaching staff. The tireless work put into learning new ways of teaching our students is greatly appreciated. Once again, congratulations again!!!! I hope you have a happy, safe and healthy summer vacation! See you in August.
